The “Bloomers” of Cockenzie & Port Seton In Bloom were thrilled to be included in the Beechgrove Garden’s hour long TV programme on Wednesday 9th September. A garden being created in the grounds of Colinton School was the main subject of the programme and it was very inspiring to see the children and adults working together. That same Beechgrove Garden team must have been inspired by the enthusiastic folk of our village way back in 2002 when they helped In Bloom create the Secret Garden because they recently phoned Marlene Love to ask if they could come and visit. They were pleased to see how it had matured with lots of TLC over the years and interested to know that it had become a well used garden for young and old alike. George Anderson, a member of the Beechgrove Garden team, interviewed Marlene Love, Joan Stewart and Karen Love. The filming of our stunning Memorial Garden, beautiful Secret Garden and creative children in the Outdoor Classroom has certainly highlighted this lovely area of East Lothian.
